Thai’d Up! Resto-Rant
Who would have thought that I would finally find a restaurant to rant about? For Memorial Day weekend, we went to Mammoth Lakes and explored the surrounding areas. Anyway, the MOMster asked a few of her officemates who live there and they recommended a few local restaurants.
Because we try to check out the local flavor, we avoid local food chains. So, we went ahead and tried Thai’d Up! for dinner. Boy, was it a baaaaad idea.
From the name itself, you would know that it is a Thai restaurant, an Asian restaurant. Ha!
The place was nice and homey, the service was great but the food was far from it!
We ordered our fave Phad Thai and Ribs and it was super salty with a lot of soy sauce! Bleaaach! To top it off, the food wasn’t even delicious! It was just too salty for my taste (and I’m used to salty food) that I the salt overpowered the whole meal.
Perhaps the highlight of the entire meal was the chicken cabbage rolls and even that had too much soy sauce! Bleaaach! Suffice is to say, we regretted our decision and wished we went to Denny’s or Carl’s Jr!
And yes, the food looks sooo appetizing…

Too bad the taste couldn’t equal to the look of the dish. I guess i won’t be going there any time soon.

I agree Zee, Pad Thai shouldn’t have soy sauce nor should be too salty. I am finalizing my post which is RantAndRave, btw. I also thought the category is ranting, heheh.
The photos are fantastic though.

Too salty? when I cook, I don’t try to make the food salty, bahala na sila (hubby and kids) to add a little bit of salt to suit their taste. Di bale walang lasa magagawan ng way, wag lang super alat
