Ataque de las Mariposas
That’s about the end of my Spanish expertise teeeheee and yes, I had to Google it! As the title pertains, I was literally attacked by these beautiful babies when we went to the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History and checked out their Pavilion of Wings.
I saw quite a few butterfly species but didn’t see all of them. I guess they didn’t come out due to the June gloom that we’ve been having for about six weeks. Unfortunately some of the butterflies’ wings were damaged and I wonder what happened to them.
The following photos will be a few butterfly species and I have tried to tag them with their names.

Monarch Butterfly

Julia

Gulf Fritillary

Buckeye and Anise Swallowtail

Beautiful. Insects aren’t the easiest things to photograph, too. Nicely done!!

Grand photos. Sometimes their wings get damaged from too much rain, I guess. That’s what I learnd when I visited a butterfly farm too.

true true… there hasn’t been too much rain here, though… only overcast skies… hehehe
