The Day of the Daisies and Asters
Last Friday, we went on a trip to Carlsbad, California to see The Flower Fields. Their main attraction is a field of ranunculus flowers that span most of the field. This is actually my second trip here and this is the first time that I brought Ashton (my dSLR camera).
However, I noticed that I have a LOT of DAISY photos! So I decided to dedicate this whole post to the daisies (and asters)!
Now, don’t ask me what kind of daisy this is because I have absolutely no idea what they are! I did a search for them and I came up with a lot of flower photos that don’t look like mine so I just matched them with what they closely resemble as. If you do know what kind of daisy it is, please leave me a not and I will happily change it!
The daisy belongs to the family Asteraceae (aster, daisy, sunflower family) with 23,000 species. These flowers used to be called Compositae which means composite, in reference to their inflorescence characteristic.
