Slice it Up

I had brunch with the MOMster this morning and I quickly whipped up this quickie meal.
I had half a slice of the omelet, slices of bacon with sliced wheat bread, and sliced ripe papaya. Okay, I didn't exactly eat the papaya because I don't like it super ripe. I downed my meal with a glass of milk.

when i was a child, we used to eat papaya straight from our papaya trees. i didn’t particularly like it so much then, but when i grew older, i rediscovered it. i guess because it reminds me of home and my mom. i put it in the blender with ice and cream and milk and then pulse it. delicious!

Oh, I can’t believe you don’t like ripe papayas! I miss a perfectly ripe, sweet and fragrant one like we used to get in the Philippines. Here, the papayas are bland but pwede na rin when you’re desperate

I love papaya Zee, so when it’s ripe, I make it a salad, cut into cubes then add a little sugar and milk. Ha! Lami pud.
